About The Event
The LAGP Shadow Fest: A Tribute to Lotte Reiniger presents its inagural event! We’re pleased to present a four part series inspired by the artistry of Lotte Reiniger. Reiniger (1899 - 1981) was a film director and foremost trailblazer of silhouette puppetry and animation. Through these events, the LAGP will highlight the creative legacy of Lotte Reiniger and celebrate her groundbreaking innovations in these fields. So, please join us as we kick off our series of events with this impressive group of puppetry folks: Whitney Grace: writer and Lotte Reiniger scholar, Linda Wingerter: third generation puppet artist, and the extraordinary Richard Bradshaw, whose shadow puppetry is renowned around the world.
